We pull you into live meeting, with the living and with the dead. We touch upon difficult issues, oscillating between seriousness and irony. We relate to great classics and to folk lore. We address topics that transcend divisions, never avoiding discussion and clashing arguments. We invite everyone, just as death (one of the main characters of this year’s festival) invites everyone, without exception, to her eternal, circular dance.

The Festival of Jarosław Marek Rymkiewicz focuses not only on the writer’s work, treating it as the point of departure for experiencing cultural motifs present therein. It encompasses the whole of culture: from literature to philosophy, from theatre to music – with reference to Polish history and tradition. Each year the festival has its own leitmotif.
